If you intend to use this soundbar with an Apple TV connected via optical cable, I would choose a different product. I don't have one to test, but this soundbar can only decode PCM, and your Apple TV I believe will force more complex tracks, like Dolby Digital surround, via bitstream. Basically, some things might work, like Pandora, but you may hear nothing but silence on Netflix or iTunes movies, for instance. Apple products aren't very flexible or customizable when it comes to things like this, and you're welcome to google it, but I'm not sure there is a way to change this setting. I suggest a higher-end soundbar with a built in Dolby/DTS decoder or a home theater receiver for this application. Alternatively though, if you have an analog RCA or headphone output on your TV, you can connect the Apple TV via HDMI to the TV, and then connect your analog out to the soundbar, then the TV will transcode everything and you shouldn't have any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on how you are trying to run it I guess...I use mine with an Apple TV just fine but I don't have it hooked to the Apple TV, it is connected to the TV itself. The Apple TV sends sound through the HDMI and out through the TV to the soundbar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use an hdmi cable to hook the Apple TV to your television. Then use the optical cable from the TV to the sound bar. This will solve the issue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not heard of any compatibility issues. If you don't get audio when it's first selected, access the Apple TV audio settings and try different output formats.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What I did was just plug the optical into the TV and I've had no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it will work
