Optical will eliminate ground loops that are the source of buzz. Have you tried flipping the A&C plug ?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Buzzing sound generally means a poor connections somewhere. Make sure all connections involving the headphone cable are securely plugged in all the way. You can also try a different headphone cable. There is also a possibility that the buzzing is originating in the source device so changing the connection type may not fix it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The answer is maybe. It is probably worth buying an inexpensive optical cable and trying it out. If you don't get the buzz when the headphone jack is unplugged then optical will likely produce better results. If you still get the buzz when the headphone jack is unplugged then your soundbar is likely broken.
