Bluetooth is like a radio or wifi signal to connect devices. In this case, you can connect your phone (most have bluetooth technology) directly to your soundbar without any wires. You can also connect your laptop, or any other bluetooth enabled device, to the soundbar. The soundbar will still need a power cord, but you can 'send' music/audio to it from across the room from your smart phone/laptop/etc

And you can connect it to a TV with the aux cord that came with it, depending on your TV might be able to Bluetooth it also.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it's the sound bar I have it requires a cable, optical is recommend, RCA or single pin connector (?) mine has Bluetooth connectivity to my phone and I believe other devices but not to my TV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Bluetooth option works very well for smaller areas. I have 2 of these: one in the family room and one in the bedroom. And only bought them because the Cable ONDEMAND and bluray player sound from tv was very VERY poor. I was constantly turning it up to the high 60's (and had terrible white noise), when tv stations were barely set at 10. The sound on this is all I use now. I turn the tv sound to 0, and use the sound bar. And that is basically shooting the sound waves AT you, instead of the tv where it shoots sounds downward or from the back of set. As for using your phone to play music...SOOOOO EASY. It is like setting up your hands-free in the car. You connect to your sound bar and change the Channel on it until you hear the music.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can connect this to your TV via RCA cables, (those basic cables that have been around forever with the red and white connectors), or an optical cable.
