The remote just snaps the shutter button once. But you can adjust the exposure in the "Pro" settings of the camera so that way it does it already.

pretty sure it just takes a photo. i tried recording a video on snapchat by holding down the button and it just took a picture every time.

The remote only triggers the phone for the settings you have made on the phone. One click, one photo. Or, start and stop with separate clicks for video. Haven't tried time lapse.

It will take a photo or video based on the setting of the camera with a single click.
