“I bought the Insignia Microphone from Best buy.The microphone works fine. But can anyone tell me why the blue light on my mic stays on or blinks? I thought that if I was not using the mic and I turned it off that the light would go off. Thank you.”

• When the mic is idle, the blue light stays on; when the mic is recording, the blue light blinks. This is normal behavior.

• If you are talking about the blue light on the cable, than it will stay on all the time. It is there to tell you that there is power going to the mic. If you don't want the light on, you will have to unplug it.
