• It should easily run on any later version of Windows system that automatically detects and installs plug in devices. And I believe Windows 7 does. Although you may be missing a lot running such an old version of windows

• I am using this with Windows 7 Professional and it works without problems. I am not an IT guy but I am thinking probably because it is hard-wired and doesn't really need any extra programs. I simply plugged in and it recognised it.
