Juan above is giving you an incorrect response. Take it back and exchange it. If you've not even connected it via the Home app, and it is flashing load, then it is nearly certainly a returned defective unit that your local Best Buy failed to do their job on the return and testing, and put back on the shelf for sale. Load indicates a firmware update in process. The number one return reason for both Insignia Voice models is failed firmware updates and this flashing load message. It can only begin loading firmware once connected to the internet - thus it can't be stuck on load without someone having done this, and therefore it is a return that got put back on the shelf. Exchange for one that still appears to be sealed box. Also, the first time you connect the speaker via the Google home app it will indeed do a firmware update, this is normal, shortly after it successfully connects to Wi-Fi and you are working through some of the other steps in the home app, it will flash Load probably for about 4-5 minutes total and then reboot with a new startup tone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should received instructions for the speakers to download "Google home" to your phone. Advise to connect your phone to your Home network before do so. The Dev will connect to your Home Network and Later Bluetooth with the speaker for Download. Download to update the speaker takes sometime.... it all depend of the speed of your Home network.
