• You're SUPPOSED to be able, but... Mine does connect, but crackles, skips and drops out, even from very near by, making it virtually unlistenable. Meh, I have lotsa other ways to play music around the house. I basically use this to listen to NPR and have weather forecasts hollered at me.

• Yes you can. I will turn on music using spotify or Amazon music on my from a different room for my kids. It works exactly like a google home mini. Just a different shape. You can even make phone calls with it
