Routines do not work at the present. Everyone seems to think it's a firmware issue, however by chance I experienced something that proved to me it's not firmware, but that Insignia and Google may not be shaking hands with each other. Now which one may not be extending their hand is the mystery.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just received several of the Insigmia clocks with Google Home built in. Unfortunately, routines still do not currently work and when I look at the Firmware version, it appears to be outdated and no option for the owner of these devices to keep it current. Is that Google’s strategy - let manufacturers build devices to work in the Google Home ecosystem, but not provide updates or support? I certainly hope this changes in the near future.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a "Good Morning" routine that you can customize in the Google Home app. Search google for "Set up & manage Routines Google Home" and you will find the help page. You will see some defined routines like Bedtime, Go to Work, etc. They are also rolling out custom routines as well.
