I also purchased 3. Only 1 works with the new firmware. Can't get the other two to update. Called both Google home support and best buy support. Best buy support told me this device didn't have firmware. They were completely incompetent. Google told me to call best buy.

Absolutley no way to update it yourself which is ridiculous in my opinion. 1 in 6 purchased/returned for me had latest (for Insignia, which is behind Google) firmware out of the box.

Best Buy cleared out a lot of older hardware that has different internal components and the basic 105 firmware that was there when this unit was introduced. The 310 firmware will not work on these older units. Google has to write a custom firmware to manage these legacy units, but has shown little interest in doing so so far. It is Google’s responsibility to handle this as they license the Google Home implementation. People need to loudly complain to Google about this.
