• A:Answer The speaker can detect when your hand is above it. The volume buttons only light up when you're nearly touching the top of the unit.

Q: QuestionI have had this since Christmas 2018 and it’s worked fine, until it suddenly showed nET. I tried to reconnect it, but it didn’t work, so I perfomed a reset on it, went through the process, and now it shows nET again. Anybody know how to fix this?

• A:Answer I think you should bring it back to Best Buy. Ask Greek Squad to take a look at it. Even those you have try to reset it, and it didn’t work. Best Buy should do something about it for you.

Q: QuestionI can't get the speaker to go into pairing mode. It only says 'set' and the Google Home App isn't recognizing or seeing it. I bought two of these and they were working great. Now suddenly one doesn't. I've tried doing soft and hard resets. Thank you!

• A:Answer Sounds like it is trying to update the firmware. How long does it keep trying and how fast is the wireless that speaker is connected to? I really wouldn't suggest contacting phone support as they are TOTALLY clueless. I have had decent luck with web/chat support though

• A:Answer When I've had that problem It somehow disconnected from the internet or my phone. Check your app & make sure it's still connected & check your Bluetooth & make sure it's connected to your phone if you're trying to play something off your phone. It's not very often it happens. I've had mine a year & ive had it happen maybe twice.

• A:Answer Not sure if this will help, but wanted to make sure that you are trying to add the additional lights via Google Home on your phone and not using the C by GE app. I have this speaker and currently have 4 C by GE Sleep bulbs in my home that are currently connected and working. Granted I also have multiple Google Home Minis and a Home Hub throughout the house, but I believe the main thing that was needed was to make sure that I the used Google Home app on my phone to find and add the bulbs. Two of the C By GE bulbs are in rooms with the insignia speaker and no Google Home devices. I do believe that the C by GE bulbs connect via bluetooth and I think that was a limitation with this speaker, but using your phone and the Google Home app should help. On a side note, if you want to try a different bulb, I would recommend the WiZ bulbs, they are priced right and I have had better success with mine as they are wifi bulbs. Not sure if BB sells those as I got mine from a local warehouse store.

Q: QuestionThe alarm, can it be STRONGER, more LOUDER, a more AGGRESSIVE SOUND? NOT the nice soft tranquil sound. I need something that's going to really wake me up! I'm hard of hearing as it is but; I NEED A REALLY LOUD SOUND! Can I change that on my speaker?

Q: Questionhave Google home in 1 room & 4 c by GE bulbs and the insignia and 3 GE bulbs in other room. you can connect 6 bulbs per Google Assistant. I have 7 bulbs connected, won't let me connect anymore, should allow 5 more. All bulbs work, pls help!

• A:Answer I have 13 bulbs, as far as I knew the units themselves don't have a limit on bulbs since it just sees whatever is on your account. 9 of my bulbs are the Merkury brand from Walmartand 3 are the ones that came with my smartthings bundle. I have one Kasa bulb also. You link your account to the speakers and the assistant, not the items themselves

• A:Answer you need to call Insignia and get them to send a firmware update. I had to call because my alarm wasn't working as well. Now it works. the temp display still does not work though???
