From the description, it does not appear to have active noise cancelling. They are relying on the fact that they go in your ears that exterior noises are cancelled (kind of like wearing earplugs). Be sure to look for active noise cancelling if that's what you're wanting, as many companies are using the noise cancelling term pretty loosely like this. Misleading..
