The back of the Forerunner 10 is made of a plastic material.

for the garmin forerunner 10 it is mostly plastic on the back, but there are 4 screws at each corner and four small metal circles about 2mm for its contact connection plate via usb to a computer to down/upload information. These metal parts might be made of stainless steel, not sure, but is a very small component of the backing.

The back is plastic, but there are 4 tiny counter-sunk metal screws holding it in place. I don't know what the screws are made of.

White plastic back. The only metal on the back are the 4 tiny metal "dots" that connect to the charger. They may also be part of the tracking mechanism. Not sure about that.
