In a word "YES"! I have used this unit, and it works wonderfully for me. It securely holds your phone while you are driving and easily allows you to attach and detach your cell phone. When you place your phone on the back pad, the bracket collapses on it. When you squeeze the arms inward, the bracket releases your phone. It will definitely hold up.
