Not at all. It comes up to the baseboards slow and when it taps them it adjusts direction.

Yes it does work hard to keep those floors clean. Mine has a few scuffs too but it doesn’t seem to hurt anything. I think it gives it character. However you can add a layer of vinyl to the bumper and it will stop the scuffing. Good luck fellow Roomba ownner.

Mine doesn't smack hard enough to scuff anything. Maybe it's the type of paint on your base boards? If it's a matte paint, it tends to scuff more.

Only issue I have is the black border on my rug that the cliff sensors pick up and won’t allow the roomba to work
