Surpassed my expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I’ve wanted a Roomba for a few years, but the negative reviews (which I read first) had me thinking I should save my money. I fully expected to return this after a week. BUT this little bot is amazing! I wish I hadn’t waited and I’ve raved to everyone about it! I absolutely love it. We have cats, dogs and often fosters. My floor is never clean.. but now I pick up toys, and a few items, hit clean while I go out for a run with my big dogs. Once a week I drag my heavy dyson out and get behind or under places it can’t get. But this equates to your dishwasher, you still have to do pot and pans, but you never get mad at the dishwasher for the daily assistance. If I had to make a complaint, I’d say it only lasts about 1–1/2 hours per charge and you gotta empty and pull the roller out to remove hair every time for maintenance. But for a drastically improved clean house, I can handle those things without complaint.

Awesome, my new best friend
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little machine does a great job. We live in south Florida with a lot of sand, dust and grass that comes in on our shoes. We let our dog out several times a day which adds even more dirt. Our home is 1100 square feet and Rosie cleans it so well each day. Keeps me from manually sweeping/vacuuming up to 3 times a day. Our beds are high enough that she goes under with ease. She opened one of our cabinet doors twice so I got a screwdriver and raised the hinges on the door. I clean her thoroughly after each cleaning. Bought for 100 off at bestbuy which was a 33 percent savings. Once a week, we move statues, floor plants, foot stools, bar stools, coat rack table chairs, etc out from the walls and let her clean those areas. I have long hair nd my husband normal hair, dog has medium hair. No one will take Rosie away, I am hooked forever!!

Does the job well
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was apprehensive but got it anyway . glad i did ! It links up with Amazon Alexa as well . Very easy to setup the APP. cleans well. I did not preclean the house so there was a lot of cleaning to do. one note if you have area rugs and the ends are not capped, or have ends that are stitched it may pull some of the cord from the carpet. Just be aware of that . other than that it worked perfect.

Great Vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a great vacuum. For the price the features are great. Wi-Fi enabled, smart home connected, and easy to empty. The only drawbacks are the randomness of its wanderings and the sound is a tad loud. Overall for the price this is a great investment. I would invest in the virtual wall units to keep the Roomba in the rooms that you want it to be in.

Must have!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it!!! I was skeptical on the entire purchase. But I have close to 1500SQF worth of tile that was becoming very hard to keep clean. I work long days and was on a two week schedule with my floors. It was not enough. They constantly had sand and debris that would take me approximately 3 hours to do. I purchased this as my first automatic/ robotic vacuum. It runs once a day and my floors have NEVER BEEN SO CLEAN. I will be upgrading to at least the I7 this year along with the brava m6 robotic mop. ITS WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE BEST PURCHASE AND STRESS RELIEVER I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. Do yourself a favor and get this vacuum if you have tile or wood flooring!!!! I don't know how it does carpet and honestly I don't care. It does EXACTLY what I needed to have done. Had this not worked I would have been hiring a cleaning company for cleaning services of just my floors. P.S did I mention I own a painting and CLEANING business LOL. I was overwhelmed with my own home and this was the best solution ever!!!

Pretty impressed so far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve only had her for about a month, but Shelby Shark is part of the family! She may be a little noisy, but not too bad. She is scheduled to work 3 days a week and is at my beck and call. I just press her button, or open the app if I don’t feel like getting up. She has a map of my house so we can ask her to do the whole place or just certain areas. She has a small bin where she stores all the dirt and dog hair. I usually empty it after she does her thing, but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary. This model doesn’t empty itself which to me, is not an issue if she’s working regularly to keep things tidy. I have tile floors and a few small rugs. She does great on those. A couple of times she’s been in the fully carpeted areas and she’s done well with those too. So, so far, I’m really impressed.

Love this roomba!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this one as our previous 8 year old roomba battery died and would not work beyond 1 foot from the charger. The new one works great and performs much better. I really like the app functionality and can start it up remotely even before I get home! The only thing that this version does not have is the ability to "map" your home. Which, looks cool but is not a necessity so not a major factor or justification to spend another $200+ in my opinion. Definitely recommend for the price!

Q: QuestionI heard that it scratches hardwood floors. Is that the case?
Asked by Nancy.
- A:Answer Yes this machine WILL and has scratched my hand scraped hardwood floors and left marks in my slate tile. Culprit is the front wheel as everything else if soft rubber. Dirt can get embedded in the plastic and WILL leave deep scratches as it has with mine. Currently in discussions with customer service- not sure how they’re going to handle this one. DONT risk it- the trade off in not worth it. Very upset and disappointed.

Q: QuestionI don’t have WiFi in my condo. What iRobot Roomba can I buy, if I don’t have WiFi?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You don’t need WiFi to use the Roomba. You only need WiFi if you want to connect it to your phone or another device like Alexa. I just walk over to it and hit the clean button on top and it goes.

Q: QuestionHave pets. Is the his model good for pet hair.
Asked by MJLS.
- A:Answer Works really good for us and we have a lab that sheds so bad. I run it maybe twice a week and it always seems to pick up the pet hair.

Q: QuestionI have a split level house, will this sense stairs and stop and go another direction? Not wanting this to take a tumble down the stairs and break.
Asked by Curious.
- A:Answer My roomba continuously goes over the edge of the stairs and gets stuck. Roomba doesn’t have any support call centre open right now either.

Q: QuestionI have throw rugs in my home. Will that be a problem with my iRobot?
Asked by irishlass6494.
- A:Answer There won't be a problem, but how Roomba interacts with the rugs depends on their size and weight. If the rugs are small or lightweight, Roomba may move them out of the way and continue cleaning. If they're heavier, or secured to your floor with carpet tape or a rug pad, Roomba will likely vacuum them/drive over them. You can get some indication by seeing how the rugs respond when you push your upright vacuum, but Roomba is lighter-weight with adjustable wheels and will be more nimble.

Q: QuestionPurchasing for an elederly relative, no smartphone. Is there an on off switch? How does it know to go back to the charger?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The vacuum has 3 buttons, 1- Spot 2- Clean (also power) 3- Dock The vacuum works this way, model 675 when you press clean it starts doing _random_ movement around the house cleaning the house, after 60 minutes (there is no way to change this) it will start flashing the dock led and it will try to return to the base/charger. It will do that with the same random movements, it does not appears to memorize anything in your house. Once it get close to the dock (aprox 1ft) it is smart enough to self orientate and auto dock in the right position If you remember those battery car toys that we had in the 90s that once started they move on a random direction and once they hit a wall or an object they go backwards for a small distance, then turn in a random direction and continue in that way until finding another obstacle?? Well that is your vacuum more less, but a little bit smarter..

Q: QuestionHow does this vacuum do with dog hair?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer We have hardwood floors as well as an area rug. Our dog sheds quite a bit. This Roomba picks up the dog hair really well. It keeps us from having to sweep everyday on the hardwood because Roomba does it for us until we use our vacuum cleaner at the end of the week. We love this Roomba.
