We have hardwood floors as well as an area rug. Our dog sheds quite a bit. This Roomba picks up the dog hair really well. It keeps us from having to sweep everyday on the hardwood because Roomba does it for us until we use our vacuum cleaner at the end of the week. We love this Roomba.
