1) You CAN, but you have to hunt through the settings on the app for your phone to turn on that option. 2) Not this one. This one will not make a "smart map" (though the app keeps prompting you to make one....according to irobot's website, the i3 is incapable of this, though), and it will not avoid cords, socks, etc.

Please try again later.Hello Basic, Yes, you can continue using the robot without the self-emptying feature if it stops working, but it is recommended that you contact our technical support in that case, in order for them to assist you in resolving the matter. As for the robot that will be best for avoiding cords, that would be the J7, J7+ or the Roomba Combo J7 as the J7 comes with a front camera that detects and avoids all kinds of obstacles.
