• The Roomba i3+ has Cliff Detect Sensors built into the robot to allow for a whole home clean without worry of falling down any stairs or submerged living areas. The robot will detect the drop off, move away and continue cleaning.

• It won't fall down the stairs....but it will stop completely when it senses them. Then you have to go physically pick it up and move it and manually re-start it. It will not sense the stairs and move back a couple of inches like some other botvacs will...it just stops completely.

• It does see stairs and does not fall down them. That said, it can NOT go up and down stairs.

• I have used it a couple of times in our upstairs hallway. There have been no issues with it falling off.
