• Yes it works fine, but you might need a bluetooth speaker for sound, my tv was having trouble picking up audio from the phone so I had to use bluetooth on my surround system. It works well and I had no problem with sound/video syncing. My phone is a galaxy s8

• That’s what I bought it for and it works great. I have an I phone and discovered the phone has to be plugged into a power source as well.
