Would they function as hearing aids? null

No I wouldn't think so. The sounds around you do get louder if you're not using it for music but not enough to say they could be used as a hearing aid. Maybe if you were buying them already, you could say that was an added benefit but I wouldn't buy them for hearing aid.

I would not say they functions as hearing aids... when you have them in properly they make hearing your surroundings difficult, so In an effort to hear your surroundings the 4 microphones can pick up the surrounding noise and pipe it into your ears.
