“Have this connected via optical cable to a 4K lg tv. The sound works great when playing Xbox, during the match. When the game ends, the sound bar display reads “opt pcm” randomly and frequently. Is there a reason it’s doing this?”

"Opt" means that you are using the optical cable. "PCM" is the digital decoder method, stands for Pulse Code Modulation. That is all.
