Nope. If the one on the right dies you have to charge them both. The left will not work with the right in the charger. These headphones are garbage. Go get the Galaxy buds...much better!

The right earbud is the main controller and can is the one being used during phonecalls. The Left earbud is depended on the right earbud so if the right earbud's battery is depleted, the left side won't be able to act.

When in use for a phone call audio is only output through the right earpiece, the same earpiece that establishes Bluetooth connection with device, you can only use the right or both when listening.

Only the right side can take calls and they do not have a single bud mode when the right ear dies.
