Most of our car audio speakers will work well with factory system amplifiers. Our JBL GX602 can handle up to 180 watts or 2-60 watts. Of course an amp is going to clean up the distortion at higher volume. I’ve been kicking around getting a small 4 channel amp to make them pack a little more punch. Quite honestly I can crank these up pretty loud before they start to distort. With an amp or without I’m a big fan of these speakers. Sound is very crisp highs and mid range. They have a little thump too.
