Jen, The model number of your TV should be located on the rear of the TV on a sticker. The M300 will work to mount your television in a corner. Contact us directly using the support button on our website once you know your model number so we can confirm compatibility, thanks.

However, there are four additional mounting brackets provided which can be bolted to the four corners, allowing you to adjust the mount to fit your TV. It comes with plenty of screws. I believe it will extend out 19 inches. If the size of your television is actually 40 inches across including the frame then I don’t think that geometry works. It will mount in a corner provided there is a stud there. When you’re bolting it into a wall it only uses two bolts that are in line parallel to the wall.

Once mounted, and if positioned properly, it will swivel to the corner just fine. It comes out from the wall at least 15 inches, then fully pivots left and right to any angle. It also pivots up and down about 10 degrees. It is a standard mount with the dimensions for mounting on the back of a tv specified in mm (millimeters from hole to hole. The smallest tv being 8 1/4" span between holes. I am not sure of the other sets of holes and their dimensions, but it supports a tv up to like 55". You should measure the distance between holes on the back of your tv where it will mount. Then look at the specs for this mount, find a conversion tool to go from millimeters to inches to verify it will fit your tv. I love this mount! I put it in my rental units to keep the tv out of the hands of little children whom might pull it down on top of themselves. Safety first!
