“I'm considering this for my 1999 Lincoln Town car. Would this unit be able to recognize and operate with the 6-CD changer that came with the car (remotely located in the trunk, so I'm not talking physical proximity in the dash)?”

Yeah I would definitely put it in there but I don't know much about a Lincoln Town Car to to the exact point of that it is considered a double din even though it's still a multimedia player but it's worth every penny and I love it
