You will have to cancel the programming in order to brew a single cup. You must make sure the reservoir is full to have 12 cups of water available. Also, be sure to run a rinse cycle after the single cup and replace that amount of water as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and unfortunately, yes. The 12 cup brew WILL take a full reservoir of water to brew. The only down side to this machine is the reservoir, definitely should be larger. The single cup brew is actually a separate space than the carafe, meaning, there is a permanent basket filter for the carafe and a separate k-cup hatch for single cup. The basket filter CAN be taken out for cleaning.
