Thanks for your question! Keurig has worked with the roasters of your favorite brands to identify settings for brewing the ideal drinking experience for each Genuine Keurig K-Cup pod variety. The K-Supreme Plus Smart coffee maker's sensor can’t identify the pod if you are not using a genuine Keurig K-Cup pod. If this happens, you can still brew your beverage, but the brewer cannot offer roaster-recommended brew settings. We hope this is helpful!
