• Yes a amp is needed with at least 350 watts with no more than 500 continuance wattage.

• Yes you’ll need an Amp. Either a 2 Ohm single channel 600W for single sub, or 1000W Amp if running two subs. Doesn’t matter if amp is new or old. Power is Power!
