If it’s the older style Tacoma, we won’t get them to fit without mods. I installed 4x6 with just enough space. However.... In my 2014 corolla, I pulled the door panel and used a grinder and fit these in there. Keep in mind the larger magnet: you don’t want your window to hit it when you roll it down, especially if you like hangin your arm out the window... Hope this helps, happy tunes be safe and God bless. -Derek G

I tried the Metra spacer in the right front door to replace the front speaker with a 6x9 JBL, after picking up the spacers and wiring adapters from the back room installers with the JBLs, and they told me to go to Home Depot for speaker mounting hardware. I later stopped at Aspen Sound where I was given a bunch of speaker mounting screws that should work with the tacotunes spacers, and their longer spacer mounting hardware. 2009 Tacoma AC non-JBL system, adding HushMat from Best Buy, and the JBL 6x9 3-way speakers.

I went with Best Buy's recommendation; they do fit, but it took some patience and improvisation with the screws and mounts. I just ordered some tweeters on Crutchfield and the good thing about them is that they include the appropriate mounting hardware and the speaker connection adapters for free. Saved me over $15. Also, they email you printable instructions when they ship your order. My recommendation is to watch the YouTube videos first so that you know what you need, if it's possible to do on your own, and have a rough plan about how to install.
