A:AnswerI have found the crisping feature to work quite well. It really does heat and crisp items that normally get a bit soggy when put in the regular microwave ie) items with breading, etc. You just have to remember to pre-heat the pan first for 3 minutes.

The glass is dark but you can see through the door glass to see if water is boiling.
