I know the light works because it does when you open the door. However, when the oven is in process, I cannot see inside. Forget looking to see if the water is boiling yet! Any suggestions? Is there a dark film over the glass door to remove? null

On my identical microwave the same light that comes on when you open the door, also is on while cooking.
The glass is dark but you can see through the door glass to see if water is boiling.

Don't look into microwave. The waves are bad for your brain.
