No, it does no have a grinder, it has a dual filter syrstrm which works great. We no longer rinse our dishes and in two months of use the filter has remained spotless. We do not use heated dry, but we open the unit when it finishes. Dishes are spotless, no streaking. We do not use rinse agents!

Linda, this model Dishwasher does not have a food grinder. It uses a removable filter. In addition, this is designed to be used with rinse aid to aid in the drying process.

There is no food grinder. There is a filter for food pieces. And I would recommend using a rinse agent. The dishes come out very clean and very shiny with it. I have not used without it. but for $6 which covers 120 loads why not use it

There is no food grinder. In order to keep the machines so quiet they have got rid of the food grinder. There is a spot for rinse agent. The instructions suggest you use a rinse agent.
