A:AnswerI read online that to have a true "flush mounted panel ready dishwasher" only European brands are the correct depth. A common depth is 22 7/8". If the appliance is 24" deep (the same depth as most counter tops) and then you add a wood panel, the appliance will not sit flush with cabinets. I would love to know what KitchenAid has to say about this question. I have called their customer support and they were not able to give me any helpful information. Why would they make the dishwasher 24" deep and then think it will lie properly on the cabinets? This is truly a different look than the traditional dishwasher, which sticks out several inches from the cabinets. The reason we are paying a premium for this is to have it BLEND IN with the cabinets.
A:AnswerI believe the footplate and height can be adjusted slightly. I did not watch the full install, but I know he did not need the piece of wood that was needed to secure the old dishwasher because this one was taller and fit the opening better. That 1/4 inch might be too much of a difference to squeeze it in. It's a solid product that seems like it will last a lot longer than my last one, but I would have BestBuy check with the installers to see if your measurements will work. My opening is slightly bigger and my quick tape measurement tells me your spot might be too short. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerWe just installed our new KitchenAid KDTE204EPA this past December, 2018. Running beautifully. We installed fit it with a custom cabinet face to blend with the drawers & cabinets AND used custom hardware, NOT Kitchen-aid hardware.
I hope this helps.
A:AnswerPlease reach out to Best Buy Customer Care at 1(888)237-8289 for further assistance. They would be able to further assist you. We hope this helps.
A:AnswerI'm fairly sure it's black. My installer traded out the door for us so I never actually saw it, but whenI looked on youtube at videos the panel they removed was black.
A:AnswerHello LHS! Unfortunately, we currently do not have any inside pictures available of this model. However, we will pass this along for future consideration. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
A:AnswerYou can use any knob ! You countersink the screw in the back. Look up the video on YouTube of the installation, but don’t trust the paper guide for you screw location. My was a little off , thank goodness a check the hole in the dishwasher. You need to be precise in the location of the screws.
