Great dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. From a designers point of view- This is a great dishwasher for those who want to add a cabinet panel to the front (so you don’t see the Stainless color) and you have a seamless cabinet run in your kitchen.

Spotless
||Posted .Plenty of washing options and dishes come out perfectly clean every time. I'm not so sure I really like the top third rack it's kind of awkward....you can remove it however. The middle or second rack is adjustable up or down which is a nice feature and the dishwasher is extremely quiet. Absolutely love the design and complements my refrigerator beautifully. If you're wondering why I'm rating this with only 4 stars it's because I'm not sure about that top third rack.... Did I say it's awkward?

Love this dishwasher!
||Posted .This dishwasher is so quiet and does a great job of cleaning dishes/silverware/utensils. I love the top rack for utensils and other flat items. I did a lot of research before ordering this dishwasher. I love it so much more than the old dishwasher we had. My dad has had his KitchenAid dishwasher for 15 years and it still looks and runs great! Hope I have the same luck. The delivery was disappointing because it got changed at the last minute and my husband wasn't home to disconnect the old dishwasher that Best Buy was supposed to haul away. I first refused the new dishwasher but they said they'd come back to get the old one so I agreed to take the delivery. I've called (and you can't talk to anyone in the delivery area direct) and still no luck after 3 weeks of the old dishwasher sitting in our garage. But - regardless - I do love this new dishwasher:)

Well built
||Posted .We purchased this KitchenAid dishwasher as sort of an "add-on" while searching for a new Microwave when my old one gave up the ghost. We replaced our aging low end Samsung dishwasher with this. My wife really liked the extra features like Pro-Scrub and the additional 3rd rack for flat cutlery. Well after owning this dishwasher for over a mont, and having used it almost everyday since I installed it, it does a really great job cleaning dishes. In hindsight, i would have skipped the 3rd rack as it is a great idea in theory but in practice there is very little space (height) on that rack to place much more than knives and VERY flat utensils. Also, because that rack is located above the normal top rack, you have to be very strategic about the placement and height of glasses or anything over about 9 inches tall if you have the 2nd rack in the top position. Now, yes you can lower the 2nd rack but this causes a significant loss of height space on the bottom rack making it nearly impossible to wash average size dinner plates on the bottom rack. I'm pretty sure this extra 3rd rack is going in a closet somewhere in my house before this months over. So my recommendation is to save a few bucks and go with the KItchenAid that has the normal 2 racks with similar features to this model. But overall, this is 5-Star when it comes to getting your dishes clean and it looks great in stainless installed in the kitchen.

Fantastic Dishwasher
||Posted .I have had this dishwasher for about a month now and I love it. It is very sleek and very quiet. If it weren't for the indicator light, I wouldn't be able to tell that the dishwasher is running most of the time. I really appreciate the third rack; I was concerned at first that items on the third rack wouldn't get clean, but they always come out sparkling. The pot scrubber setting is a nice bonus and my dishes always come out really clean. The only negative that I've seen so far is that if you use the Pro Wash setting the dishes don't get as clean. But, I think that's a slightly to be expected as the dishwasher is trying to determine how dirty the dishes are. I haven't had any problems getting them clean when I select the settings myself. Additionally, I wish that the third rack could be removed (at least partly) to accommodate taller stem ware. Overall, I highly recommend this dishwasher. It does a great job, and is very quiet.

Good quality and cleaning. Quite? So so!
||Posted .This machine is made out of good quality elements. Real stainless steal inside and out. Nice looking dishwasher with good cleaning features (so far) Two down sides: I don't think that it is super quite. It is definitely not noisy but my old GE was as quite as this one (it was half price!) Secondly, it needs additional display on the outer surface to understand if the machine is still working or stopped. It is almost impossible to understand whether or not the program you selected ended and it is safe/ready to open the door. There is only one little, tiny lamp (display) that shows same color (blueish white) And it does not go off right after the program ends (this would take for hours!) So you cannot really tell if it is still washing or drying OR already ended. It is really annoying when you need something from the dishwasher. But overall I am not regretful with my purchase.

So far it's excellent
||Posted .I wanted to wait a month before reviewed the dishwasher. Usually reviews are written far to soon. So far this is an excellent dishwasher. It's very quiet and the dishes are very clean. I bought this to replace a Bosch dishwasher. I prefer the kitchen aide over the Bosch. So far the only thing I'm not use to is if you open it during a cleaning you have to hit start again once you close it.

Innovative, quiet, and cleans great.
||Posted .Another beautiful, well-made, quality product from Kitchenaid. My only complaint was with the installer who was rude, uncooperative, and wouldn't install it without a wall socket so I had to call and pay another company to do it. (My last dishwasher had installed by Sears was without any hassle like this.) Best Buy needs to find another subcontractor to do their installation since I paid them to do it. (The prior delivery of my Kitchenaid stove and refrigerator delivery was great, so it is apparently only the dishwasher installation crew that is a problem.)

Q: QuestionDoes the depth dimension of 24.75 inches include a 3/4 inch (recommended depth) custom panel or will the final depth with a 3/4 inch custom panel front installed be 25.5 inches?
Asked by polsciprof.
- A:Answer I read online that to have a true "flush mounted panel ready dishwasher" only European brands are the correct depth. A common depth is 22 7/8". If the appliance is 24" deep (the same depth as most counter tops) and then you add a wood panel, the appliance will not sit flush with cabinets. I would love to know what KitchenAid has to say about this question. I have called their customer support and they were not able to give me any helpful information. Why would they make the dishwasher 24" deep and then think it will lie properly on the cabinets? This is truly a different look than the traditional dishwasher, which sticks out several inches from the cabinets. The reason we are paying a premium for this is to have it BLEND IN with the cabinets.

Q: QuestionSpecs say it is 34.5 inches tall, but say it fits in a 34 inch opening. What are the minimum and maximum heights. My opening is 33.75 inches?
Asked by height.
- A:Answer I believe the footplate and height can be adjusted slightly. I did not watch the full install, but I know he did not need the piece of wood that was needed to secure the old dishwasher because this one was taller and fit the opening better. That 1/4 inch might be too much of a difference to squeeze it in. It's a solid product that seems like it will last a lot longer than my last one, but I would have BestBuy check with the installers to see if your measurements will work. My opening is slightly bigger and my quick tape measurement tells me your spot might be too short. Hope this helps!
