These won't give you high and lows like floor speakers it will give you highs and your subwoof will make up for the lows these are better for sides and rears
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To replace your floor standing speakers you must really use a subwoofer with these speakers if you want earth shaking bass in a movie or song. I use mine with a 300 watt sub and it sounds just like you're in a movie theater. A lot of actual movie theaters use Klipsch speakers in their setup! I think that says it all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely they can but I'd recommend having them with a separate bass box and surround sound system . You won't hear a better bookshelf speaker at this price and the sound is crisp and a nice clean bass. Also recommend going to the store and listening to these speakers next to others so you can truly hear how much better the klipsch speakers are.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Obviously you will lose a lot of bass, but these otherwise will sound great for what you want to do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First of all if the room that they are going in isn't too large they will work fine.I also use mine for movies music and video games, they work very well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The speakers I replaced with the Klipsch were 30 years old and the bookshelf speakers are doing a great job plus using a lot less space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mid-range speaker is a 5 1/4-inch, substantially smaller than a 10-inch sub-woofer cone, so I wouldn't say it would be apples to apples. BUT, the frequency response of these Klipsch speakers is down to 54 Hz. While they might not give you room-shaking, bone-jarring bass, the sound is warm and crisp across a wide spectrum. They are compact, but have some substance to them. Above all, go try them out and see for yourself. You can always return them!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Possibly, depending on the size of the room. I am using them with a 20-year old Carver preamp & amp in my office, and they should great. Even the bass comes through very rich for such small speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You would be disappointed with the bass response. If you also got a subwoofer to go with them, you would love them. Nice highs and midrange.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are downgrading from towers to bookshelves I might suggest a definitive technologies bookshelf set up because they have the dual internal woofer whereas the Klipsh has just one. While I have the Klipsh r-15's and love them they rely on my 14" Yamaha subwoofer more so than my previous speakers. I like how clear the new ones are compared to the old but I wish I would have gone with the def tech bookshelves because the woofer is bigger. Plus they run sales here and there on def tech stuff and where Klipsh hardly ever does. If your from MN go to one of the best buys in your area that has a magnolia room and see the definitive technology equipment trust me it is worth the drive!
