You can technically run any speakers as a 4.1 system. You could set up four centers and a sub if your receiver has the connections and it would be 4.1. For movies, you should definitely add a center and go 5.1 for full sound, for music a 4.1 system would be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Tes. I've done just what you describes intentionally and I'm very pleased! Eventually I plan to buy the matching Center, R-25C to even out a nice, modest Surround Sound Home Theatre set-up. Not loosing anything in the music, but gaining Movie enjoyment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, they will work with a 4.1 system and I have listened to the powered version with sub on a 2.1 sound system playing records. They are super easy to hookup and use color coded terminals. I use four of them with 2 atlantic speakers, center channel, and a sub for a 7.1 system which I enjoy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They will work well in a small to medium room.
