It’s a nice try, but no, not with this or any passive speaker. You can with the other version, the R-51PM. Why you might ask? Years ago turntables did not come with a pre amp, I know this one you mentioned does have one, but it still will not work. The problem is not enough power. You would still need a separate stand alone amplifier. If you buy powered speakers it can be done, just set the switch on your turntable to line instead of phono. Make sure you have the speakers near an AC outlet too, so you can plug them in!
