Never received with mounting hole
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. So I received these last week, and I’m just now opening the box to realize it’s completely different from the picture than what I have. I mean it’s not really a big issue because I’m not one to mount stuff, but if you’re looking to, then I suggest looking somewhere else or deal with it. I’ll never go with anything else other than klipsch. It’s just super weird that the ones I received don’t have the mounting hole to it as the one in the picture. I put a picture from the Best Buy app to my picture to show you.

Powerhouse speakers
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.Powerhouse speakers. These things can pound but they are a little bigger than my other bookshelves but well worth it.

Klipsch R-51M Bookshelf Speakers
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed.Very pleased with these Klipsch bookshelf speakers. They are used as surround speakers in our home theater. We were fortunate to pick them up on sale at Best Buy. Quite a savings over the MSRP. They sound great and would also work very well in a small stereo system. Very efficient and clear sounding speakers with acceptable bass response. They are small so don’t expect wall shaking bass tones. They are pretty accurate down to 60 hz. Add a small subwoofer if you need to feel the very low bass tones. Magnetic attachment grills are a very nice touch.

Klipsch speakers are excellent for surround sound.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I have bought eight of these matching speakers for my 7.2 surround sound receiver (165 watts per channel). Althought, I have only six of them connected, the other two are waiting on me to buy a 9.2 surround sound receiver in the near future. I bought this Klipsch speaker to match up with my Klipsch powered subwoofer and Klipsch center speaker. This speaker produce the clear perfect sound that I wanted even at high volume.

Great value, a tad directional
||Posted .I got these half off during the Black Friday promotion. At half price they are an exceptional value. I personally bought two pair to use as side and rear surround speakers, in conjunction with higher grade Klipsch Reference Premier RP-250F front and RP-450C center speakers. They fill this role well, with very similar sound completing the sound stage for gaming and movies. I've also seen these demo'd in a store playing rock and roll tracks in a 2.1 configuration as primary front speakers along with a subwoofer. I was shocked at how much volume they put out into the large open space and sounded great paired with a sub. My only reservation is I will say Klipsch seem pretty directional. If I walk from my open concept living room into my kitchen, there is a change in the character of the sound once you aren't 'in the zone'. Your experience may vary depending on your room characteristics. The attached picture shows how their similar dimensions and design compares to the RP-250F.

Fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I purchased these as surround speakers to complete my 5.1 setup. I have them sitting atop Sanus 24” stands for medium sized speakers. Places them at a perfect height for sitting on the couch.

Q: QuestionCan I use this as my rear speakers? My front speakers are Klipsch R26
Asked by Sylvi.
- A:Answer These are working great as both surround and rear speakers in my system

Q: QuestionDoes blocking the back port by using the keyhole to mount the speaker flat against a wall affect the sound quality?
Asked by OleCodger.
- A:Answer There actually is no keyhole on the back. For some reason, Best Buy decided to put pictures of different speakers in for the imaging of the R-51.

Q: Questionhave Pioneer SCLX904 its RMS is rated at 140w per channel,(not sure on total w per ch) confused at matching new speakers with the receivers RMS and total power. these are 85rms and 340w peak. do you stay at or below the receivers rms for speakers ?
Asked by preorder.
- A:Answer Hello Preorder: A receiver's RMS rating is supposed to be set against a "standard" and is an indicator of how much "clean" power a receiver can deliver to speakers at a certain resistance (OHM rating, 8 Ohms for example), and with the proper gage wiring and distance, etc..... You typically hit the "peak" power draw on the lower BASS response. So the lower tones generated by your music source and the higher the volume, the more power it takes to drive your speakers. To be clear, the 140W RMS receiver and the 85W RMS speakers need to be compared at the same resistance, so for example if these are both rated at 8 ohms, then what this means is you would be fine to use these speakers at volumes near 70% of what the rated output is for your receiver. So don't turn it up all the way, or you may run the chance of damaging these speakers. You should NOT turn it up all the way in any case because when you do, the receiver begins to deliver more "noise" distortion in the signal and that can potentially damage ANY speaker. Keep it at a decent volume under 70% and you should be able to enjoy these together just fine.

Q: QuestionCan I wall mount this speakers?
Asked by Jose.
- A:Answer The answer is yes and no. They have a rear port on them so you can’t flush mount them; it would cause the speakers to sound terrible. You can however use a swivel mount to mount these. I’ll attach a link and picture so you can see how they work. These do not come with keyholes on them anymore . Q: QuestionI just ordered a pair of these R-51M speakers for my TV sound setup, bit I stil need to order a power amplifier. Given the output power level and impedance, what would you recommend for a good quality amplifier yet reasonably priced. Thank you.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Much depends on your budget and what you are willing to spend on an a/v receiver/amplifier. There are quite a few good AV receiver brands today. Review the offerings from Yamaha, Denon, Sony, and Marantz. I prefer a Marantz A/V Receivers although they are expensive. You get what you pay for. With the current ongoing sales, you can find good multi channel A/V receivers for less than $300. Yamaha and Sony come to mind for budget priced amps. If you go to inexpensive you may find yourself upgrading very soon. 50 years of experience with many thousands of dollars spent.

Q: QuestionCan these speakers sit directly next to a LG 4k TV on a mantle without affecting the picture?
Asked by Slimstylus.
- A:Answer Yes. The magnets in speakers could affect the stream of ions creating the picture on the old cathode Ray tube type TVs ( those heavy glass ones) but won't affect flat screen TV at all
