I was skeptical at first buying these speakers because I thought they would not provide me the sound quality I was expecting. I previously owned a pair of Bose bookshelf speakers which were great but my Klipse speakers are the truth! Exceptional sound delivered on all genres of music.

#1 Love these for their efficiency. Don't have a monster receiver or amp, not a problem. #2 The cabinet is not wood, but looks like black painted wood, decent and bonus is the cork on the bottom of the speaker so the finish isn't damaged by sliding. #3 Really like the magnetic speaker grill, sturdy holding, but release easily so as not to be damaged by a screwdriver or whatever to remove a stubborn grill. Buy again, in fact will likely but another set for my office.

I got these to replace my old Boston T830 floor standing speakers in my bedroom. The Klipsch bookshelf speakers sounded much clearer with greater detail, and have decent bass for such a small speaker. I mate these with a Klipsch R-30 center and a 12" MK sub, hooked up to a Denon AVR-S570BT receiver. The Denon is 70W per channel with loudness up to 99. I have only had this system up to 55 and that is very loud with excellent sound reproduction.
