It runs on bluetooth LE, so it isn't dependent on your wifi or internet connection. If you're outside without your phone, keys or a fob and the door is locked, yes you will be locked out.

If you do not have your physical key, smartphone with the eKey, or your Kevo fob with you, then you would need to contact a locksmith for assistance; as you would with any lock where you had locked yourself out.
