Does it need to stay plugged in or is it portable? null

Need to be plugged which is its only negative.

The Lenovo Smart Display is designed to be plugged in, and always be on, so the Google Assistant is always available to help when you need it with a simple “Hey Google” command. It does, however require an always active Wi-Fi connection, and powered on. But you can unplug it and move it to another room if you want.
