Yes. I put in "Kingston Technology 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L (PC3-12800) 1.35V Non-ECC CL11 SODIMM Intel Laptop Memory KVR16LS11/8" I bought from elsewhere to give it 12GB total.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The Lenovo user manual indicates there are two DIMM slots on the laptop. I have not opened the unit, so I don't know if the 4GB memory provided is using one or two of the slots. I would suspect, the DIMM card fitted is a single 4GB memory card.

Most likely it has a single 4GB Memory module installed with the second slot open. The latest Lenovo's I've seen in the store have a one piece bottom in which all screws have to be removed and the entire bottom taken off to access components. Not sure if that model is built the same way.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not unless you build computers for fun and know how to do that sort of thing. Believe me when i say when it comes to the ram its an investment. For regular memory you can always buy an external harddrive and itll be cheaper a little less convenient but if you dont need to constantly travel with information its nice to have
