“I want to use this to take to school, and I want to make sure that it has a long battery life & decent power to use google docs/some research whilst at the library? I don't need anything too fancy, is the battery life good? Also, is it thin-ish?”

Very good battery life. It says up to 5 hours, I guess it depends on how you have your power settings setup.

This configuration with its Intel Celeron processor, is an entry level, light use system. It is not meant for heavy use (6 to 8 hours a day), multi-tasking or complicated Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint and large Excel spreadsheets. It is good for light use of Microsoft Office and browsing the internet. If this matches your computing needs, then the IdeaPad 330-15 with the Celeron processor would be a good choice.
