In order to keep the program active after the trial period, you will need to purchase a product key. You will not need to download any additional software, just use the product key from the purchased software to activate the installed Microsoft Office Software already on the computer as part of Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System installed on this computer.

You can use it for 30 days for free, but after that you have to pay for it (about $50-$60 for a year). It does not require the internet to use it. There are free versions of word processing software, such as Libre Office, which can be downloaded from the internet and installed on this laptop (provided you switch out of Windows 10 S Mode to Windows 10 Home), and whose document formats are compatible with Microsoft Word formats.
