• Yes the ram is soldered into the computer. I upgraded my ram and it has a chip slot for that...

• The 4GB of RAM is soldered on the motherboard and there is ONE slot to add RAM. I added 8GB of DDR3 RAM and the system runs well with 12GB. :)
