What is the operating system? null

It came with windows 10 S, which is limited version of windows 10, but you can not install 3rd party software, only the apps from microsoft store. You can choose to return to normal windows 10 through setting, please google for the instruction.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop, model number 81MV0001US, ships with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System for added security. S-Mode will only allow APP available (and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store to be installed on the device. If you don't need the added security or need to install programs not available through the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System at no additional cost.
