I can't tell you the technical differences, but the Solid State Drive is much, much faster than a Hard Drive. The Best Buy associate, who has helped me many times in the past, told me the only downside to the SSD was if it should die, and that is rare, there is no chance of saving any information. So just make sure you keep your documents, photos, etc backed up. Good plan anyway.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great choice! Solidstate doesn't spin. Its like having a thumb drive instead with instant access.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ssd won't crash. Hard drive spins and can break down when you move ur laptop alot or carry it . Two systems died on me. No issues wmsince using ssd.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want speed and efficiency , you will certainly want to with ssd. Most that go with a ssd's dont ever use hard drives again either so that tells you right there. You will also notice very improved start up times and how fast your programs load up as well.
