“I'm going to a teaching school for college and was wondering if this would be a good recommendation? Also, in comparison to a mac book does it attract virus's?”

We recommend you check with the your school for a list of recommended software for your studies. Then check with the software publisher(s) for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration. The school may be able to give you details on the requirements of the software they recommend you use and may even have recommendations for a laptop configuration. Any computer that is connected to the internet is susceptible to a virus and/or external attack. You should have a good anti-virus software loaded on any computer you choose. Check with your school to see if the recommend one operating system (Windows or iOS-Apple) for their course work.
