QuestionI would like to lay this down on it's front on top of my kitchen cabinets. It looks like I can, and it gives enough space on back and both sides. If this possible?

- Answer That should work. The air inlet and outlet vents are on the sides and top of the unit. The front is a solid piece of plastic and has no controls or vents to be blocked if you lay it down on its face (front).

QuestionMy room is 287 square feet. Would a 361 square feet purifier be appropriate or is that excessive.

- Answer Not excessive at all. The way they measure how much it can clean is based on a certain time frame. If you have it in a smaller room, it just means it will clean the air quicker without you having to put it on full blast.

- Answer The manufacturer suggests that the unit is placed in a position that allows 18 inches from anything like a wall to allow for good air flow so I don't think wall mounting would be a good idea or would work well. You also need to allow for room to be able to change the filters. Hope this helps. And sorry, I don't know of any other brands that you could mount to a wall.

- Answer I believe you can. For convenience while setting them up, you can rename each one (ie "Bedroom Air", Kitchen Air", "Air Jordan" :) ). The first time you plug it in and power On - the default is "Auto". If you just turn it off without unplugging, it will remember the last setting when turned back on. While in "Auto", it detects air quality and adjust fan speed accordingly.

QuestionWhat kind of filter does it use and how often do I change it?

- Answer Actually there are 2 filters the first one is white True HEPA Filter Traps airborne bacteria, pollen, mold and dust and the second one is black Active Carbon Filter captures and neutralizes various household odors such as pet odors or cigarette. As far as how often do you have to change the filters it depends of the environment, I bought mine about a month and half and it's at 82%
